70% Kitchen, 30% Gym :Simplified

Food is fuel…EAT METICULOUSLY AND TRAIN RIDICULOUSLY.

The caption remains controversial because many people have been so stiff-necked about gym, gym and more gym that they forget about the body needs.

If you have read my other article “Eat more to burn Fat” I mentioned that the body wants to function at its best at all times and would do anything to make that happen. Need I mention that the body can eat up itself to keep internal functions on the go.

Four years ago, in 2013, I remember breaking down for this same reason, being in an institution back then with heavy workload, you have to be up and doing and be up to date. I had to study 22:00-06:00 almost everyday, use the local gym for about 1hr at night before studying and about 40 mins in the morning after, and prep for class at 8am. I did this without proper meal quality and quantity. Honestly I enjoyed working out but I missed out on support measures, meaning I didn’t support my body enough for the stress I was putting it under. Almost landed me in the hospital and thought me a lesson, I even lost the little I built.

This goes for every other cases, whether you are working out to loose weight, gain muscle mass or both in synchronization, it’s not all about going to gym alone. If it were so, everyone would be a professional bodybuilder or bikini pro. And even if you are going pro or just to look good and confident, your kitchen plays an important role in you goals a lot more than the gym does.

Let’s get this a little straighter…
If you want to loose weight and you workout well but eat just about anything you lay your eyes on, it would be like a pendulum, going back and forth but still has a fixed position, same goes for you if you want to build some muscles, you make the gym your sanctuary and the kitchen a deserted place, you miss out as well. As a matter of fact, some people can even lose weight with food control alone and no gym, maybe not as fast.

Abs are made in the kitchen…

absaremadeinthekitchennotinthegym
People ask “Victor how do I get a 6 pack?” The truth is everyone has got abs, maybe 4, 6, 7, 8, as mother nature and genetics gives. You just have it hidden, the lesser abdominal fat you have, the more your abs show. Abs are not made in the kitchen, they are only designed there. And so is every other body and fitness goals, you set in motion in the gym but you make it happen and perfect it in the kitchen.

You can’t outwork a bad diet they say
Well, actually, you could but you still don’t stop it from manifesting. The reason you see the gym so full most Mondays, the weekend was lit, TGIF went so well, and now it’s Monday again, guilt shows its naughty face and everyone is trying to outwork all the “lit” stuff that got into the body at weekend. No one says don’t party, but come on do well, whatever helps you to go goals and do in moderation, whatever doesn’t until you can even get rid of it almost completely.
One “killer” workout doesn’t do the magic, it takes consistency to win the fitness race because it is a marathon, not a 100m dash.

Eat right…

salute
Working out ain’t easy really but compared to eating, working out seems to be the easy part. The kitchen is where the job gets done, where the real battle is fought. If you despise your kitchen, you increase your chances of frequently visiting the fast food and most FAST FOOD actually should take out the “S” and tell what they really are; FAT FOOD. If your goal is to burn fat you can learn that is my article “Eat more to burn fat” and if you intend to gain muscle mass, use the Contact or stay tuned for the article soon.

  3. This is so so so true. But also the 70% is the hardest to follow. I am so fit but I have no fucking self-control over my food intake that i have no body to show for it 🙂
